The collection consists of the Premium Handicraft Scissors, our bestseller – the Premium Fabric Scissors – and the Premium Professional Tailor’s Shears. On request, the scissors are lovingly packaged in our gift box. They are also optionally available with ruler engraving – the “game-changer” of our technical toothing – and personalized custom engraving.
Premium Handicraft Scissors
If you're looking for a true all-rounder for your handicraft work, these are the scissors for you: the Premium Handicraft Scissors are extremely versatile and an essential tool for any workspace – whether for professionals in the studio or hobbyists in the sewing room. They cut fabrics, threads, cords, and craft materials cleanly and easily. Thanks to the slim, sharp tip, they allow for very precise cutting of embroidery threads and fabrics without effort.
Ergonomic and professional fabric cutting – The blades of these handicraft scissors are made from high-quality, stainless Solingen knife steel. They feature a dual-surface special grind, which makes them highly professional and smooth in use and ensures long-lasting cutting quality. The injection-molded plastic handles are impact- and break-resistant and provide a permanent, hygienic connection. In addition, they are ergonomically shaped and comfortable to use. The screw connection is flexibly adjustable and thus always ensures the correct tension setting for cutting.
Premium Fabric Scissors
Our Premium Fabric Scissors are meticulously designed down to the smallest detail and crafted to meet the specific demands of sewing and handicraft work. Made from stainless Solingen steel, they are especially robust and durable. Additionally, they feature:
- very sharp blades with a dual-surface facet grind
- ergonomically shaped, break-resistant plastic handles
- an adjustable screw connection
The handle has two openings, with the larger one accommodating up to four fingers. This allows you to transfer the force of your hand to the blades with maximum efficiency. The asymmetrically designed handles ensure that the lower blade lies flat during cutting, preventing the fabric from lifting or shifting.

A special pair of tailor’s shears tailored to your needs is essential in any craft. With optimal ergonomics, comfortable handling, and lasting sharpness, PAUL tailor’s shears offer quality you can rely on.
Our Premium Professional Tailor’s Shears are asymmetrically designed: the lower blade lies flat during the cut, so the fabric doesn’t lift or shift. The shears are guided from above with ease. Depending on your materials and preferences, you can choose from various sizes and colors. Longer, heavier tailor’s shears provide particularly good leverage – when in doubt, choose the heavier model, especially for thick or multi-layered fabrics. Thanks to the elaborate dual-surface facet grind, these shears are exceptionally sharp and a joy to use. The massive blades made from stainless Solingen knife steel make them a high-quality companion for frequent use and demanding craft projects.

With patience and care, we ensure every pair is produced with maximum precision and quality at a fair price-performance ratio in our workshop in Harsefeld.
Care tips for maintaining optimal sharpness
To clean the scissors, simply use warm water and a little dish soap. Avoid scouring pads and harsh cleaners to protect the material and preserve sharpness. Occasionally applying a drop of PAUL care oil to the screw and between the stainless steel blades ensures consistently smooth cutting.
If the scissors in Scissor-Paula’s Sharp Sewing Box become dull over time due to tough fabrics or heavy use, or if they suffer damage, you can rely on our special service: we sharpen and repair them or provide replacement parts – for more sharpness and sustainability.
Proper storage is also ensured: In collaboration with the studio of Sibilla Pavenstedt, we have developed high-quality scissor cases, handmade by the nonprofit association “Made auf Veddel” in Hamburg. In addition to these cases, you’ll also find a storage pouch for smaller scissors, handmade by the studio “CARLITOS handmade.”
