PAUL Custom Engraving – Personalize your scissors

Design your own, completely personal scissors! With our new engraving designer, you can now individualize our scissor models live and directly on screen. Whether initials, a loving message, or various symbols and motifs – simply drag, rotate, and place your design on the two scissor halves, on the front or back, until everything fits perfectly. You will immediately see what your finished unique piece will look like.

The classic personalization with your desired text is available for 10 €. Furthermore, you can also upload your own image or (company) logo to be engraved for a surcharge of 19.98 €.

Sharp tip: Engraving our symbols costs only 1 € per symbol/motif!

Custom engraving in 2 steps - it's that easy!

Step 1: Start the configurator

After you have found your PAUL scissors and selected your preferred color, please click the "Design engraving" button under "Your custom engraving" in our new product configurator. A new window for our live engraving designer will then open immediately.

Step 2: Personalize the scissors

Use the top menu bar of our designer and simply follow these steps:

  • 1. Select scissors side: First determine whether you want to engrave the front or the back. (Of course, you can also design and engrave both sides one after the other).
  • 2. Insert text: Click on "Text". Move the text box to the desired position. You can use the purple frame to enlarge, reduce, or rotate it.
  • 3. Font: Choose your favorite from Cambria, Gabriola, or Mvboli.
  • 4. Symbols: Add motifs via the symbol field and place them freely on the blade.
  • 5. Save: When everything fits perfectly, click on "Save" in the top right corner.

💡 Pro tip: While clicking the respective buttons, the engraving limits are briefly displayed. To have these guidelines permanently shown on the blade, simply click the gear symbol in the menu bar and then the switch "Show limits permanently".

Extra tip: Engraving special editions

Did you know? You can also easily personalize our colorful special collections (such as our Safari or Dachshund scissors) in the designer!

Use the remaining space on the blade for a personal dedication or a fitting symbol. In the picture, you can also clearly see the dashed orange line - these are the engraving limits that you can show via the gear symbol.

ℹ️ Please note: The pre-engraved sayings and quotes on our special editions are currently only available in German. However, you can easily add your own personal message in English using the designer!

Create your own PAUL: Your own images & logos

Would you like to immortalize a company logo or even a child's drawing on the scissors? Here's how to upload your own files:

  • 1. Open upload area: In the configurator, click "Next" on the right side until you reach the "Create your own PAUL" area.
  • 2. Upload file: Click the "Select files" button to upload your desired image or logo from your device. (Note: The file can be a maximum of 2 MB and must be in JPG or PNG format.)
  • 3. Mark position: Then click on "Design engraving" to open the designer. Use the placeholder icons ("My Logo" or "My Picture") and move them to the desired position on the blade. Please note: Your own motif will not be shown live here yet. The icon only serves as a marker so we know exactly where to engrave your file later.

Draw

Paint a beautiful picture or let your child paint one. It works best with a dark pen on white paper.

Upload

Photograph the drawing in good light and upload the image directly to our engraving designer.

Conversion

We convert your image file in the background into a razor-sharp format perfectly suited for our lasers.

Immortalize

The drawing is precisely applied to the scissors by us and then securely packaged for you as a true unique piece.
